"I come from a proud family that has been involved in public service for as long as I can remember. I want to work for you. We need to create more low income programs, improve our schools, and make public safety, gun control in particular, a top priority. With nearly a decade of government experience, I know what it takes to find solutions, navigate complicated governmental agencies, and get things done."

 A FEW ISSUES

                      Save Our Youth

         Do our youth matter?

Do we give them positive outlets to go to at night?

Our youth in the Zebulon community is very important to our growing town. I am a mother of a son who grew up in this area many years ago without positive outlets. Those years took a toll on so many of our youth who needed a safe place to stay out of trouble. Now decades later there are still not enough places and options for our older youth. When the age group of 13 to 17 get bored or not positively influenced, they can turn to gang or illegal activity even drugs. Personally, I do not want our teens going down this road! There has to be a change in where our youth can go after school and on the weekends. The studies show that over 3,000 youth between ages 10 and 17 are living in Zebulon. We need to connect this many young people to our beautiful town to show we care.

Teens of today need a place of their own to:

  • Feel Safe

  • Communicate with each other

  • Have entertaining concepts options

  • Have game variety

  • Educational Learning Center

  • Go to a Gang Color/Activity Free Zone

  • Drug or Tobacco Product Free Zone

I would love to see a Z-Spot Activity Center built in Zebulon. This place will be there for the 13 to 17 age group after school and on weekends. A skating area, a game room, and a learning room would be wonderful options. I know there are two places for our younger youth to go right now, but again our older youth needs this as soon as possible.

Saving our youth tugs at my heart strings every day. I want to see all our youth graduate and be successful in life. The downfall to living in the real world is it gets tuff, and things happen in their lives that can prevent this from coming true. If we as a town can help our youth in any way to see a brighter tomorrow, we have done our job.

Vote Annie Jean Moore on November 2, 2021 to stand behind the "Save Our Youth" program.

EDUCATION

This is a subject that is the key to success for all our youth... Promoting the importance of continuing a youth's education and the "It takes a village" method. When a family has outlets to go to for help when there is a need, the child has more ways to achieve success.

REVITALIZATION

When the word revitalization comes to your mind it automatically takes you to the word(s) NEW/FRESH START. I would love to CONTINUE to see our town restored and improved to increase revenue. There will be more visitors, more opportunities for venue options, and more opportunities for new businesses to establish down town.
